Boye Aladesanmi, 24, has been
arraigned in a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly beating a minor
with a horsewhip.
Insp. Akpan Ikem, the prosecutor told the court that the accused
committed the offense on the 15th of April at 24, Segla Street, Ibereko,
Badagry.
“The accused used a horsewhip to beat the minor severely just
because the latter mistakenly poured water on the accused,” he said.
“The minor is now on admission in a hospital because of the
severity of the assault,” he added.
However, Boye pleaded not guilty on all allegations and in his
ruling, Chief Magistrate, Jimoh Adefioye, granted him bail of N200,000 and one
surety in the like sum.
The case was then adjourned until May 23, 2018.
