Media Mogul, Dele Momodu has called
on President Muhammadu Buhari to address Nigerians directly concerning killings
in some parts of the country.
On Tuesday, suspected herdsmen invaded a church in Mbalon in
Gwer-East Local Area of the state and killed two Catholic priests and 17 other
worshippers.
Again on Wednesday, no fewer than 20 persons were reportedly
killed and several persons declared missing after herdsmen attacked Guma LGA
Area of Benue State.
Also, on Thursday, herdsmen invaded Africa Church in Mbamondo clan
of Ukemberagya Gaambe-Tiev, in the Logo Local Government Area, and killed seven
internally displaced persons.
Reacting to the recent killings, Momodu on his Twitter page urged
the president not to speak through his media aides or issue statements on
killings but rather speak directly to Nigerians.
He wrote “I’m not asking for too much, Buhari should speak and not
issue statement through any emissaries.”
