WONDERING WHY I CHANGED | A POEM BY ADEKEYE ABDULAZEEZ

Always thrilling like twins
Our foot voted in sunny soothing streets
Many eyes lodged in our hilarious inns
Their ears unrest to hear our tweets
Like sinners toying with sins
And so through this love we meet and fleets.

The lizard lynched lion
My mouth murmurs to swallow the rock
Not inspired to reach my companion
When the rottenness rusted loyal lock
My eager eyes sneezed of onion
And croaks calling caring cock.

My heart routes roared of thoughts
When the usual lizard can't be caged
Our plans plying pointless plots
Wondering why I changed
Like giants grounded with their guts
And the scars sighed beyond being bandaged.

When the goat groans like grave
Your egos edges down dowries to grow
I barely knew how to beckoningly behave
When your lion lost its usual cave
When our liveliness loitering to flow
And the handcuffs is no longer with the slave.
